Hotel Ramada Podgorica is a great starting point for discovering the beauties and sights of Montenegro.
This pearl of the Mediterranean is full of incredible contrasts. Nowhere you will find in such a small area (13,812 km2) so diverse natural wealth and so many traces of a long and turbulent
past, the touch and the shift of civilizations.
Montenegro has the southernmost European fjord (Bay of Kotor), the deepest European canyon (Tara), the largest Balkan lake (Skadar lake), the oldest olive tree on the planet (Old
olive tree in Bar, more than 2000 years), the longest natural sand beach ( 12 km, Great Beach) … 2,833 different species of plants, 352 bird species live here.
Montenegro has five national parks – five completely different stories: Lovćen, a mountain and a temple to the great poet Njegos; Skadar Lake – Europe's largest bird reserve; Biogradska Gora – one of the three remaining rainforests in Europe; the huge Durmitor, a paradise for mountaineers; Prokletije, the harmony of gentleness and wildness.
The Kotor area, Durmitor National park, Stećci – medieval cemeteries and Venetian fortifications until the 17th century is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Montenegro also houses one of Europe's largest shrines – the Ostrog Monastery, as well as three large relics: the right hand of John the Baptist, part of the particle of the cross on which
Jesus Christ was crucified, and the icon of the Virgin Mary Filermosa.
And all that, and more, is half an hour, an hour, two … drive from the Ramada Hotel. We are here to propose, recommend, organize. Surrender to us and enjoy the magic of Montenegro.
